The 3^rd WSAF Junior, Youth, Cadet & Senior Aikido World Championships

Dear WSAF Members & Aikido Friends,

As a founding member of WSAF, it is my great pleasure to announce WSAF’s intention to hold The 3^rd WSAF Junior, Youth, Cadet & Senior Aikido World Championships, in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture, Japan, in July 2023.

The last few years have seen extraordinary difficulties and problems the likes of which many of us had not experienced before in our lifetimes. As such, next year’s competition will be four years since the 2^nd WSAF World Championships held by our friends in USA.

I sincerely look forwards to once again being among our international friends, joined together in a celebration of our aikido. Please be informed that this event is open to all, regardless of affiliation or style. I eagerly await your participation in this long-awaited event.

Application forms, entry requirements, full schedule of events, location, lodging information details, details on the awards ceremony, and other additional information will hopefully be distributed to you all soon.

Nara is an ancient capital of Japan, full of history, sight-seeing spots, well-known Japanese foods, and tradition. We believe that this will provide a stunning backdrop for what will sure to be an excellent event.
